DRDO SAG Recruitment 2026: The Scientific Analysis Group (SAG), a premier laboratory of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) under the Ministry of Defence, has released a recruitment notification for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) positions. According to the official advertisement (Advt. No. SAG 007) published on various job portals, including IndGovtJobs, SAG is inviting dynamic and highly motivated candidates to join its research team at Metcalfe House, Delhi.
The recruitment drive aims to fill 11 JRF vacancies across multiple science and engineering disciplines. Eligible candidates can secure a position directly through a Walk-in Interview, bypassing the traditional online application or written examination process.
Vacancy Details & Subject Disciplines
A total of 11 fellowships are available (10 at SAG and 1 for a Sister Lab of DRDO). The discipline-wise distribution is as follows:
Computer Science Engineering (CSE) / IT / CS: 04 Posts
Mathematics: 03 Posts
Electronics Engineering (EE) / Electronics & Communication (ECE): 03 Posts
Physics: 01 Post
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must be Indian nationals and must possess the required educational qualifications as of the interview date.
For Mathematics & Physics: A Post Graduate degree (M.Sc.) in the relevant subject in the First Division, along with a valid NET qualification.
For Engineering (CSE/IT/CS/EE/ECE): A B.E./B.Tech degree in the relevant discipline in the First Division with a valid NET/GATE score, OR an M.E./M.Tech degree in the relevant field with a First Division at both the Graduate and Post Graduate levels.
Age Limit: The maximum age limit is 28 years. Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC and PH candidates as per the Government of India rules.
Stipend and Benefits
Selected Junior Research Fellows will receive a consolidated monthly stipend of ₹37,000. In addition to the monthly fellowship, candidates are entitled to House Rent Allowance (HRA), medical facilities, and other emoluments as per DRDO rules. Working at SAG also offers researchers unparalleled exposure to advanced fields like Cryptology, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, and Quantum Physics.

Candidates must bring the duly filled application form, a complete
bio-data, recent passport-size photographs, and all original educational
and experience certificates along with a set of self-attested
photocopies for verification.
