The Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture & Pharmacy Common Entrance Test (TS EAPCET) 2026 Phase 1 counselling has witnessed a significant response from students. Although 79,891 candidates were allotted B.Tech seats, only 60,300 candidates completed the online self-reporting process by the deadline, confirming their admissions. Meanwhile, the Telangana Government is expected to take a decision on the inclusion of 15,000 additional B.Tech seats approved by AICTE for the 2026-27 academic year.

Although the number of students who exercised web options exceeded the available seats, nearly 19,500 allotted candidates did not complete the online self-reporting process before the deadline.
Additional 15,000 B.Tech Seats Under Consideration
The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has approved 15,000 additional B.Tech seats for Telangana engineering colleges for the 2026-27 academic year.
To decide whether these newly sanctioned seats should be included in the ongoing admissions process, senior officials from the Higher Education Department are scheduled to meet with the Chief Minister on 16 July 2026.
