G.O.MS.No. 126: AP Pensioners Additional Quantum of Pension / Family Pension – Revised Rates

The Finance Department of the Government of Andhra Pradesh issued G.O.MS.No. 126 on September 22, 2026. It modifies G.O.Ms.No.30 regarding rates for the Additional Quantum of Pension/Family Pension

Rates for pensioners/family pensioners on completing 70 years of age increase from 7% back to 10% of basic pension. Rates for those completing 75 years of age increase from 12% back to 15% of basic pension

The 10% and 15% rates were originally set in 2019 but were reduced to 7% and 12% following the 11th Pay Revision Commission implementation. The decision to restore the higher rates followed an evaluation of representations from the Andhra Pradesh Pensioners' Associations, Amaravati, along with the financial implications.

  • Restoration of Additional Quantum Rates:
    • Age 70 years (on completion): Increased from 7% back to 10% of basic pension.
    • Age 75 years (on completion): Increased from 12% back to 15% of basic pension.
  • Background & Justification:
    • The rates were previously reduced to 7% and 12% via G.O.Ms.No.30 dated 20.02.2022.
    • Following representations from the Andhra Pradesh Pensioners' Associations, Amaravati, the Government decided to restore the rates to those originally prescribed in G.O.Ms.No.6 dated 12.01.2019.
  • Unchanged Higher Age Slabs:
    • The rates for age slabs from 80 years and above remain unchanged:
      • 80 years: 20%
      • 85 years: 25%
      • 90 years: 30%
      • 95 years: 35%
      • 100 years: 50%
  • Effective Date:
    • The revised rates will take effect from the pension for the month of December 2026, payable on 01.01.2027.
  • Implementation Authority:
    • The Director of Treasuries and Accounts is directed to take necessary action to execute these orders for all eligible pensioners.
