AP Teachers AI Samarth Online Course 2026 in LEAP APP -Rc.No. ESE02-11/351/2026

  • Program Overview and Vision: The Department of School Education in Andhra Pradesh is rolling out an online AI Foundations and Literacy Course to train ~80,000 Government School Teachers (Classes VI-VIII) as part of its initiative to make the State the AI Capital of India.
    • The program combines the AI Samarth Foundational AI Literacy Course with selected Bodhan AI resources in partnership with the Centre for Teacher Accreditation (CENTA).
  • Core Curriculum and Live Training: The integrated curriculum covers foundational AI concepts, practical usage, and social ethics, supplemented by practical hands-on live training.
    • AI Samarth focuses on foundational AI concepts, ethics, data literacy, and prompting techniques, while Bodhan AI resources cover teacher-specific applications such as Socratic prompting, lesson planning, and assessment.
    • CENTA will host three live hands-on training sessions via YouTube Live to guide teachers in using AI tools effectively in their classrooms.
  • Access Instructions and Timeline: The entire course enrolment and completion process takes place during October 2026 via the LEAP App.
    • Teachers must update and log in to the LEAP App, navigate to Governance > CSE > AI Samarth, and complete the module.
    • The course access, completion, and weekly progress monitoring are scheduled for October 2026.
  • Teacher Mandates and Certificate: Eligible teachers are required to complete all learning components and assessments to earn a completion certificate.
    • Merely enrolling or accessing the course is not counted as completion; system-recorded completion of all learning modules and assessments is required.
    • Successful completion grants access to a downloadable Course Completion Certificate through the LEAP App.
  • Monitoring and Support Administration: Implementation will be tracked closely at the Department, District, and Mandal levels.
    • Official metrics will track teacher enrolment, access, course completion, assessment completion, and certification statuses.
    • Educational officers (RJDs, DEOs, DyEOs, MEOs, and Headmasters) must ensure all ~80,000 targeted teachers complete the program by the end of October 2026.
    • Designated contacts from SCERT AP, KPMG, and CENTA email support are provided for queries.
