- Inspection Teams Deployed: District Educational Officers (DEOs) and Regional Inspection Officers (RIOs) have been tasked with monitoring schools and junior colleges. Stringent disciplinary action, including the suspension or revocation of school affiliation, will be taken against institutions violating these rules.
Festive Significance: Bathukamma and Vijayadashami
The two-week break coincides with Telangana’s grandest cultural festivals:
- Bathukamma: The floral festival celebrated primarily by women and young girls, culminating in Saddula Bathukamma.
- Vijayadashami (Dussehra): Celebrated on October 20, symbolizing the triumph of good over evil.
The extended vacation provides ample time for students, teachers, and families residing in urban areas like Hyderabad to travel to their hometowns and villages across the state to celebrate the festivities together.
