School Education Department launches pilot project
The School Education Department has initiated a groundbreaking change in how student attendance is tracked in government schools by harnessing Artificial Intelligence (AI). This innovative method is currently being rolled out on a pilot basis in select schools across Mangalagiri and Tadepalli.
Under the new system, each student's photograph and corresponding details are initially registered in an online database, linking their personal information directly to their facial profiles. Once this one-time setup process is complete, teachers merely need to capture a single group photograph of the entire classroom.
On any given day, as soon as the group photo of the present students is taken, the AI technology instantly scans their faces, accurately identifies them, and automatically registers their attendance in the system.
