AP Schools Monthly Joint Activity Schedule for the academic year 2026-27, which focuses on the convergence between ICDS Anganwadi Centers (AWC) and co-located Government Primary Schools: specifically targeting the Foundational Years (Pre-Primary to Grade II) for children aged 3-8 years.
Its purpose is to operationalize the convergence between ICDS Anganwadi Centres and co-located Government Primary Schools, strengthening the school-readiness continuum and ensuring a seamless transition from AWC to Grade I.
Key Objectives
Bridge learning gaps between AWC children and Grade I entrants through joint structured play.
Facilitate smooth school transition for 5+ year-olds via regular AWC-classroom visits.
Jointly celebrate national events, harvest/cultural festivals aligned to the AP calendar.
Strengthen parent and community engagement through joint PTMs and awareness sessions.
Share teaching-learning materials (TLM), library books, and playground equipment.
Conduct joint ECCE day every month, along with health, nutrition, and hygiene activities with ASHA/ANM participation.
