The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to release the tentative date sheet for the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations for the 2026-27 academic session shortly. The List of Candidates (LOC) submission portal is currently active for schools to register eligible students.

Key Exam Updates & Guidelines

  • LOC Submission is Mandatory: According to the board, only students whose details are successfully submitted by their schools through the online LOC process will be permitted to appear for the 2027 board exams. Schools must use their 'Affiliation Number' to log in.

  • No Changes to Exam Pattern: CBSE has confirmed that there will be no changes to the question paper design, assessment pattern, or passing criteria for the 2026-27 academic session.

  • Two Board Exams for Class 10: In alignment with the NEP 2020 recommendations, CBSE will conduct two board examinations for Class 10 students, offering an additional opportunity to improve scores. (Note: Pre-board marks are not added to the final board exam results).

  • Sample Papers: Class 10 and 12 sample papers and question paper designs (including Standard and Basic Maths) are available on the academic portal for practice.
