Raipur: The Directorate of Medical Education, Chhattisgarh, is set to close the online choice-filling and locking window for the CG NEET UG 2026 CAP Round 3 today, October 7, 2026, at 11:59 PM. Medical and dental aspirants must lock in their preferences before the deadline to remain eligible for the Round 3 seat allotment.
According to the official guidelines, candidates who fail to submit and lock their choices by the deadline will be excluded from the seat allotment process for this round. Notably, fresh registrations for the third round officially concluded on October 6 at 11:59 PM.
Mandatory Fresh Submissions for All Candidates
A critical update for all participating candidates is that any choices submitted during Round 1 and Round 2 have been automatically reset to zero. All eligible and previously registered candidates are required to submit fresh college preferences for Round 3. Attempting to rely on earlier selections will result in disqualification from this round's allotment.
Security Deposit Rules
Under the CG Medical Admission Rules 2025, candidates must tread carefully when making their final selections. If an applicant is allotted a seat in Round 3 (or any subsequent rounds) and either fails to report to the institute or resigns after joining, their security deposit will be permanently forfeited. Experts advise students to only include medical and dental institutes they genuinely intend to join.

Log In: Visit the CGDME portal and click on the candidate login link for NEET UG 2026 Counselling.
Access the Form: Enter your registration credentials to access the choice-filling section.
Select Preferences: Add your preferred medical and dental colleges in strict order of priority.
Save & Lock: Save your selections continuously. Once completely satisfied with the order, click on 'Lock Choices' before 11:59 PM on October 7.
Confirmation: Acknowledge any on-screen prompts to ensure the process is finalized. Once locked, choices cannot be modified.
